BOOK LIST: TOP 5 BOOKS FOR SPRING

Spring has truly sprung here in the UK, and although these are unusual and anxiety-inducing times, it’s nice to have longer and brighter days with a bit of sunshine to get us through. So I thought today I’d give you a list of my top five books for Spring! Whether they remind me of the season itself, or if the covers are perfectly Springlike, these books will make excellent reads right now!

BLOOM – KEVIN PANETTA & SAVANNA GANCHEAU

Although Bloom is set in the Summer – and is a perfect read for the Summer months – it’s also full of hope, growth and new things budding, which is everything Spring is about! It also has a beautiful blue colour palette all the way through, which makes for very soothing reading!

CruelPrince

THE CRUEL PRINCE – HOLLY BLACK

If ever there was a time to start a series you haven’t read but are going to get obsessed with, it’s Spring! The Cruel Prince is the perfect series to get addicted to. The storyline is definitely a slow build, which I think helps when it comes to the big impactful shocking moments in the book – as you don’t expect them until they’re happening! Plus, it’s a book about humans and faeries, what’s not to like?

WHAT IF IT’S US – BECKY ALBERTALLI & ADAM SILVERA

This is a delightful and quick read, perfect for reading on a sunny Spring morning. Told in alternating chapters between the two characters as they meet and fall for each other, What If It’s Us is sugary sweet and is sure to bring a smile to your face as you read!

UNCONVENTIONAL – MAGGIE HARCOURT

Unconventional is set at a convention, which is absolutely AMAZING! It’s a great and wholesome romance story, with plenty of fandom references and swoon-worthy scenes. It’s also a really hopeful book about first crushes and the future, and the whole cast of characters are brilliant!

HEAVY VINYL – CARLY USDIN, NINA VAKUEVA, IRENE FLORES & REBECCA NALTY

This graphic novel is so much FUN! New jobs! New crushes! New friendships! An underground girl gang fight club! Heavy Vinyl is such an upbeat read, and will make you feel excited as you read through the characters becoming friends. The art style is also absolutely delightful, which is always what I look for when reading a graphic novel!
