I’m joining in on #SixForSunday! Created by Steph over at A Little But A Lot, the idea is to share 6 bookish things every Sunday. Steph has made prompts for everyone to join in which should be great fun!
Six New authors discovered in 2017
- Maz Evans
My goodness, I love this lady. Maz Evans is a powerhouse of writing, plus she’s so lovely and funny and full of energy. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her twice and she’s such a wonderful person. Check out her book, Who Let The Gods Out – I promise you, you’ll love it!
- Simon James Green
Ah, Simon. Simon is such a great guy! Author of the hilarious Noah Can’t Even, Simon’s writing style is bold and so very British. I loved this book and can’t wait for more this year!
- Alice Broadway.
GO AND READ INK. NOW! Seriously, I picked this up for how gorgeous the cover was and wasn’t prepared for how utterly beautiful the words inside were going to be. Ink is one of those incredible books that will stay with you forever.
- Angie Thomas
Angie Thomas, in my opinion, wrote the most important book of 2017. The Hate U Give scarily echoes current situations with the rise of unarmed shootings by police officers in America. I cried on the train reading this cos it hurt my heart, and I will always recommend this book to everyone I meet.
- Leigh Bardugo
I finally managed to get round to reading Six Of Crows last year, and I still haven’t shut up about it. Leigh Bardugo manages to craft such genius worlds and characters, and I can’t wait to reread this book again and again.
- Jessica Townsend
Oh, Nevermoor. How I love you so. Nevermoor is definitely one of those books that gave me warm, fuzzy feelings all over – a feeling that said ‘this is gonna be HUGE’. If you haven’t picked up this delightful book yet then do it soon, cos I’ll throw it to you otherwise.
I hope you enjoyed my authors – if you’ve read their books let me know! If you haven’t, please do!
