Fandoms are everywhere, and I’m proud to say that I’m part of many. I’m still waiting for my Hogwarts letter, I’ve assigned myself into a Game of Thrones house, I love Marvel AND DC. I buy shirts, stickers, and other merch from my favourite video games, and then strive to get clothes that MATCH certain characters. The majority of my music is from soundtracks from movies, shows or games.
(I think it’s safe to say that a large majority of my enjoyment comes from fandom; I don’t know if that’s sad or not. But I love it!)
So let’s think about bookish fandoms!
Bookish fandoms bring so many people together. The amount of times I’ve squealed over fanart from a book that’s captured the character just right, or if art brings together character ships from the book! Scorpius and Albus, I’m looking at you here..
It’s clever, and it allows the fans to have expression while still adoring their favourite books and characters. Creativity is key to fandom, and when you find people that you can discuss things from the book (theories, ships, stories), you have a whole hub of people that love it as much as you. Inspiration, adoration and love for the characters and stories extends from the books, giving them a much longer life.
So go and get badges and stickers for your favourite bookish fandoms, and join in with others who love it just as much as you do! π
I would say I’m part of the Rivers of London fandom, although I don’t really interact with many other fans π also a proud Hufflepuff!

It’s fun to be part of fandoms even when you don’t interact with other fans! Sometimes just knowing that you’re in that mindset is enough π Ooh yay to Hufflepuffs!!
