A few chickens…

I love Chicken House. I. Love. Them. I’ve seen some brilliant publications from them last year, and this year is no exception! Both my current reads are Chicken House books, and I’m so excited to sink my teeth into them!

Simply The Quest is a book that I have been so utterly excited about – when I got this amazing early copy in the post I think I squealed with delight! The previous book in the series, Who Let The Gods Out, was hilarious and so cleverly written that I fell in love with every single character (But Hermes is, like, my totes fave ok?). There’s Greek Gods, British humour, and tons of tongue-in-cheek jokes that I can’t help but giggle at. It’s so nice to read a book that is such good fun.

Freshers will be my next read once I finish STQ, and I can’t wait to read some more fun YA books! The cover very much reminds me of Unconventional (which I loved so much and is currently one of my top favourite books), and it’s bright yellow so how can you not love a cover like that?!

Have you read any of these books? I’d love to chat about them with you!

  1. I love Chicken House too! They are the gods behind the blood for blood series by Catherine Doyle and it’s one of my favourites!

  2. Freshers is brilliant – totally worth reading! Have you read Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivison’s Lobsters? If you’ve read that, you’ll have an idea of how funny and entertaining their writing can be (and if not, you’ll have another of their books to go onto next)!
